Saudi Arabian Football Federation President Adel bin Mohammad Ezzat stated that three players of their national squad will be subject to disciplinary action for the team’s 0-5 defeat against Russia, in Thursday’s opener of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

“We are very saddened by this defeat; this is an absolute unsatisfactory result, since it doesn’t reflect the level of our preparedness,” NTV Russian television channel quoted Ezzat as saying. “Goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mayouf, forward Mohammad Al-Sahlawi, and defender Omar Hawsawi will face disciplinary action.”
