BBC: Belgium to win 2018 FIFA World Cup

14:11   14 June, 2018

The British BBC conducted a study to predict the winner of the Russia-hosted World Cup 2018.

At first, 24 teams of 32 were cut off, as since the World Cup expanded to 32 teams in 1998, all of the eventual champions have been seeded. Thus, France, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and Russia remained the main candidates to win the competition.

At the next stage, Russia and Poland were removed.

Considering that the world championships held in Europe ended with the victory of the European team, Brazil and Argentina were also excluded. Then, Portugal and France also left the list.

Now the list consists of Belgium and Germany.

According to the source, Germany have an excellent recent World Cup pedigree, however “when it comes to winning it again in Russia, history is against them.”

So, Belgium are going to win the World Cup.

The final is scheduled for July 15.
