Rooney to get €5mn annually at MLS

Everton forward Wayne Rooney will receive an annual salary of €5 million at D.C. United, which play at Major League Soccer (MLS).

The sides are expected to sign a two-year deal, according to The Washington Post. Earlier it became known that the respective transfer deal of the former captain of the English national football squad will total $17 million. Rooney’s current contract with Everton is expected to run until 2019.
