00:36   12 May, 2018

Rafael Nadal (Spain) has dropped to World No. 2 after losing to Dominic Thiem (Austria) in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open tennis tournament.

And on May 14, former World No. 1 Roger Federer (Switzerland) will once again top the men’s tennis world rankings.

Nadal, however, could return to his World No. 1 ranking next week, if he wins the Italian Open in Rome.
