Artur Aleksanyan wins gold for Armenia at European Wrestling Championships

Armenia’s Olympic champion Artur Aleksanyan clinched a gold medal in the men’s 97-kilogram category competition at the European Wrestling Championships by defeating Serbia’s Mikheil Kajaia 7 to 0 in the final.

Another Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Maksim Manukyan earlier defeated Viktor Sasunovski of Belarus to win gold in the 82-kilogram category.
