Golovkin to face Martirosyan as Saul Alvarez suspended

Middleweight fighter Saul Alvarez is suspended for 6 months for doping violations, Washington Post reported.

A 27-year-old fighter will be eligible to fight again after August 17.

Canelo Alvarez was expected to fight on May 5 agaisnt Gennady Golovkin. However, with Alvarez out, Golovkin will now face Vanes Martirosyan

As reported earlier, Erislandy Lara successfully defended his WBA and IBO super welterweight titles with unanimous-decision win over Armenian fighter Vanes Martirosyan in 2016.
