Greece club chairman penalized for invading pitch while carrying gun

PAOK Chairman, Russian—Caucasus Greek—businessman Ivan Savvidis, has been banned from attending football games for three years, informed the Superleague Greece press service.
Savvidis has been penalized for the incident during his club’s league match against AEK, during which he had invaded the pitch—together with his bodyguards—and attacked the match referee for disallowing PAOK’s last-minute goal. Also, cameras showed that Savvidis was carrying a gun.
After this incident, Superleague Greece—the highest professional football league in the country—was suspended, and it will resume on Saturday.
