Candidates Tournament: Armenia’s Aronian speaks about his unsuccessful performance

Armenia’s top chess player, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian spoke about his unsuccessful performance during the 2018 Candidates Tournament, in the German capital city of Berlin.

"It's tough to say, but I think the start was very bad. I have played some very very bad games. I don't know, when you, I mean, when it goes against you, when your instincts fail in time trouble, then it's tough to come back," Aronian, 35, noted.

Levon Aronian finished the Candidates Tournament at the bottom of the standings. Aronian gained 4.5 points. During the 14 rounds, Aronian recorded one win, suffered six defeats, had seven draws.,
