Manchester United preparing £40m bid for Douglas Costa,

Manchester United are weighing up a £40million summer swoop for Brazil star Douglas Costa.

The Brazil international - currently on loan at Juventus from Bayern Munich - is a long-term target for the Red Devils.

According to the Daily Mirror, Jose Mourinho has ordered a move ahead of the summer transfer window.

Mourinho instructed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to enquire about Costa’s availability.

And Woodward has been encouraged that Costa will be up for grabs when his loan deal with Juventus expires.
