Barcelona played host to Chelsea in the return leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16, defeated their guests by a score of 3-0, and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Barça’s Argentina forward Lionel Messi scored two goals in this match and became the second footballer, after Real Madrid’s Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, to score at least 100 goals in the Champions League.
The two clubs had played a 1-1 draw in their first leg that was played in London.
