Barcelona have offered their medical staff’s assistance to 15-year-old student Anthony Borges, who saved the lives of 20 people during the shooting that occurred on February 14, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, USA.
Borges himself was injured when he had shut the door to the classroom and prevented the shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz—who killed 14 students and 3 teachers, from entering the room.

Anthony’s father has opened a crowdfunding site on go.fund.me to raise money for his son’s medical expenses. About 20 thousand people have been donated $609,000 in 14 days, but $700,000 is needed.

In 2016, Anthony trained for two months at the Barça Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and he dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

In addition, the boy, who is preparing for surgery, has received a Barcelona shirt signed by the first team players, and a voice message from them.
