Champions League: Playoffs continue Wednesday night

UEFA Champions League round of 16 matches continued Wednesday night, with two first-leg fixtures.
Reigning champions Real Madrid entertained Paris Saint-Germain, and they beat their guests by a score of 3-1. In this game, Real’s Portugal star forward Cristiano Ronaldo became the first footballer to score his 100th and 101st Champions League goals for a single club.
Liverpool were hosted by Porto, and they defeated their guests by a score of 5-0.
The return leg of these pairings is slated for March 6.
One country—England—has five representatives in the Champions League playoffs for the first time in the history.
The final will be played on May 26 in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine.
