Nobel Arustamyan: Henrikh Mkhitaryan may play in Russia in few years

Russian Armenian sports journalist Nobel Arustamyan has said that during this recent winter transfer window, some Russian football clubs were interested in the services of Armenia captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has transferred from Manchester United to Arsenal during this window.
“I know that at least two Russian clubs wanted to have Mkhitaryan on loan for half a year, realizing that it’s virtually impossible to buy his transfer from Manchester United,” Arustamyan said on a Russian TV broadcast. “The [said Russian] clubs were making attempts, and they wanted to have him on loan until the end of this season. But Henrikh made it clear that he wants to play in Europe.
“We won’t see him in Russia yet. But it’s possible that, nonetheless, he will play in Russia in a few years.”
