Mkhitaryan will not wear No 7 shirt in Europa League
21:30 23 January, 2018Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been assigned the No 7 shirt in the Premier League - but he will wear a different number in this season’s Europa League campaign, the official website of the FC reported.
The No 7 shirt was vacated by Alexis this month but, because Arsenal's former forward wore the number during the group-stage win against Cologne back in September, UEFA rules state that Mkhitaryan must wear a different number for the remainder of our Europa League campaign.
It is still unclear, which number Mkhitaryan will wear in this season’s Europa League campaign.
The 29-year-old Armenia midfielder on Monday signed a long-term contract with Arsenal. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will wear the No.7 shirt vacated by Alexis Sanchez.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan's weekly wage will make £180,000, thus, he will be the Arsenal's second highest-paid player.
