Most successful Winter Olympian in history will not compete at PyeongChang 2018

Eight-time Olympic Champion Ole Einar Bjørndalen was not chosen by the Norwegian Biathlon Association for the forthcoming 2018 Winter Olympics to be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Bjørndalen failed to meet the qualification standard, according to the head of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Tore Øvrebø.
Einar Bjørndalen is the most successful Winter Olympian in history, as the 43-year-old has 13 Olympic medals (8 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze).
And at the 2014 Winter Olympics on Sochi, Russia, the Norwegian became the oldest gold medalist in the history of Winter Olympics.
