Neymar faces imprisonment of 2 years and a fine of 10 million euros

Brazilian midfielder Neymar will be forced to stand at the court in on charges of financial fraud during a transfer from Brazil's Santos to the Spanish Barcelona in 2013.

Former and current Barcelona presidents and Neymar's father will also be brought to trial, El Pais reports.

The deal was filed by the DIS investment fund, to which Neymar's transfer rights belonged to. The Foundation is convinced that the official transfer fee does not comply with the entire amount paid by Barcelona. Neymar's transfer cost was 57.1 million euros. It was later confirmed that the Catalan club had paid more, and the DIS did not receive its full share.

Neymar faces up to two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros.
