Jonathan Klinsmann, the son of legendary German forward Jürgen Klinsmann, made his professional football debut in Hertha BSC’s (Germany) final group-stage game Thursday in the Europa League.

In Hertha’s home match against Östersunds FK (Sweden), the 20-year-old goalkeeper started for his club, and he saved a penalty in the 86th minute to preserve Hertha Berlin’s 1-1 draw.

Even though the game ended with this score, Hertha placed last in their group and were eliminated from the rest of the Europa League competitions.

Jürgen Klinsmann’s son holds both German and American citizenship, and he has played for the US national youth squads.
