London Olympic 2012: Armenian judoka wins gold for Russia

Representative of the Armenian community in Russia, Russian Olympic judo team participant Arsen Galstyan (60 kg) defeated Japanese Hiroaki Hiraoka at the Judo Olympic final combat and got the first golden medal for the Russian team.

Brazilian Felipe Kitadai won the first bronze medal in judo defeating Italian Elio Verde, while the second bronze won Rishad Sobirov defeating French Sofiane Milou.

As it was earlier informed, Armenian judoka Hovhannes Davtyan (60 kg) lost to French Sofiane Milou in the fight for the bronze medal

The 2012 London Olympics officially kicked off on Friday and they will last till August 12.
