Gegard Mousasi wins Bellator debut

Armenian MMA fighter Gegard Mousasi (Movsesyan), representing the Netherlands, made his promotional debut at Bellator 185 on Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., against former champion Alexander Shlemenko.

Despite a swollen right eye for most of the fight hindering his ability to see properly, Mousasi controlled his bout with Alexander Shlemenko primarily on the ground and won by unanimous decision. All three judges scored it 28-27.
