Weightlifting: Armenia's Karush Ghukasyan wins gold of European Championnships

Armenia's Karush Ghukasyan has won gold of the European Junior&U23 Weightlifting Championships, which are held in Albania.

Ghukasyan won a gold medal in the 94kg competition by lifting a combined weight of 359 kilograms (162 kg in the Snatch and 197 kg in the Clean & Jerk). The silver went to Russia's Georgiy Kuptsov. UK's Edmon Avetisyan ended the fourth.

Earlier on Friday Armenia's Andranik Karapetyan won gold in the 85 kg competition.
