Armenia’s Hovhannisyan becomes European silver medalist

Davit Hovhannisyan (Armenia) placed second at the European Junior&U23 Weightlifting Championships, which are held in Albania.

In the boys’ U20 event, Hovhannisyan won a silver medalist in the 85kg competition by lifting a combined weight of 343 kilograms (158 kg in the Snatch and 185 kg in the Clean & Jerk),

Separately, Karen Avagyan (Armenia) placed fourth, overall, but he won a bronze medal in the Snatch by lifting 156 kilograms.
