Mkhitaryan: We are focused on Poland game
17:37 4 October, 2017Armenia and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan hopes Armenia squad will not repeat the mistakes and will play better in the World Cup qualifying match against Poland.
“I am always happy to join the national squad,” he said during a media conference in Yerevan.
Mkhitaryan added that he used to play in Borussia with Poland’s Robert Lewandowski, Jakub Błaszczykowski and Łukasz Piszczek.
“We have to achieve positive results in the last two matches. We have something to prove. In Manchester United I am trying to take the lead, and in the national team I more of a squad player. Now we are focused on the match against Poland,” he emphasized.
Armenia vs. Poland World Cup qualifying match will start at 8p.m. at on Thursday. Poland defeated Armenia 2-1 in the first match. Armenia has lost the chance to qualify to the World Cup, while Poland is the leader of Group E.
