FIDE rankings: Armenia’s Aronian ranks second

Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian went up two lines in the FIDE rankings and is currently ranked the second.

Magnus Carslen leads the standings with 2826 points.

Three other Armenian players are included in Top 100: Sergey Movsesian (76), Vladimir Hakobyan (77) and Gabriel Sargsyan (92).

Several days ago, Aronian won the World Chess Cup in Tbilisi and qualified to the 2018 Candidates Tournament. On Saturday Aronian is getting married to Arianne Caoli.
