Armenia’s President issues message to country’s Olympians

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan released a statement for the country’s Olympians who will compete in the 2012 London Olympics.

“Dear athletes and trainers, I am confident that you will represent our country with honor, extend a fair competition, fully demonstrate your mastery, skills, and protect the honor of Armenia’s athletic flag.      

Our compatriots in Armenia and the Diaspora will attentively follow your performances. I believe you will meet the expectations, and enrich—with new accomplishments—the number of Olympic champions and prize winners from Armenia.     

I personally will follow the course of London 2012. What is more, I want to become the eyewitness of your triumphs,” President Sargsyan’s message specifically reads, Armenian National Olympic Committee press service informs.  

To note, the 2012 London Olympics will kick off on Friday and come to a close on August 12.
