US Open: Federer is out

Juan Martín del Potro has advanced to the semifinals at the US Open tennis tournament.

In the quarterfinals, the Argentine, who is ranked 28th in the world, defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer, who is ranked third.

In the semifinals, Del Potro will face No.1-ranked Rafael Nadal of Spain.
