UEFA awards best players of 2016/17 Champions League season

Roma legend Francesco Totti received a special award of UEFA president during the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has been named Goalkeeper of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season. Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been named the best defender, Real Madrid’s Luka Modric – the best midfielder, while Cristiao Ronaldo – the best forward of the season.
