PSG: Neymar made no infringement

10:53   23 August, 2017

With a statement posted on its official website, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG; France) has responded to FC Barcelona (Barça; Spain), which has accused Brazilian star forward Neymar—who recently transferred to the French football club—of not fulfilling contractual obligations and which intends to get €8.5 million, either from him or PSG, through legal proceedings.

“Paris Saint-Germain reiterates that, like Neymar Jr., it has always respected all applicable laws and rules in its dealings and, once again, regrets the attitude of FC Barcelona,” the PSG statement reads, in particular.

In the year past, Neymar received a bonus from Barça for signing a deal with this Catalan club, and which was expected to run until 2021. Now, Barcelona wants this bonus back.
