Novak Djokovic is Serbia’s flag-bearer
17:53 24 July, 2012Former world No 1 tennis player Serbian Novak Djokovic shared his impressions on the upcoming London Olympic Games.
“I’m happy that we have the Olympic Games on the grass courts. I really like these courts. I think all of us who are taking part in the Olympic Games are very excited about it,” the official ITF website quotes Djokovic.
He confessed just the thought of carrying the flag is “mind-blowing”. Djokovic said he is proud of wearing his national colours during the Olympic Tennis Event.
“It is very emotional because it is not just you who matters there, it’s the whole nation. So there is a huge excitement going on with all the tennis players prior to the Olympic Games,” he said.
