In the 7th round of the rapid chess tournament underway in Saint Louis, US, leader of the Armenian chess Levon Aronian beat Russian Sergey Karjakin, playing with black pieces.

The 13th World Champion Garry Kasparov (Russia) lost to David Navara (Czech Republic).
