Armenian judokas perform unsuccessfully in Chile

The Junior Judo Team of Armenia took part in World Championships in Santiago, the capital city of Chile without winning any medals, armnoc.am reports.

“The boys were not quite ready for the World Championship, since we didn’t manage to take part in training camps abroad,” said the manager of the team, Hakob Arakelyan.

Yuri Israelyan (50 kg) and Tigran Yagoubian (60kg) lost in the opening fights, while Artem Ghalachyan (60 kg) and Mamikon Avetisyan (81 kg) crashed out of the struggle in the second round.
