Sinquefield Cup: Armenia’s Aronian to face Russia’s Svidler
09:15 10 August, 2017The penultimate eighth-round games will be played Thursday at the 2017 Sinquefield Cup chess super tournament, the third round of the Grand Chess Tour, and which is wrapping up in the US city of Saint Louis.
In this round, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) will face GM Peter Svidler (Russia).
All matches in this round will get underway at 10pm Armenia time.
After seven rounds, Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, shares first place, with 4.5 points.
