Malkhas Amoyan's gold was given to an Iranian, said Roman Amoyan, the Armenian wrestler's uncle, who was also present at the Junior World Championships in Tampere.

''I congratulate all of us. Malkhas' silver medal belongs not only to him but to all of us. He held difficult and impressing bouts, winning strong rivals. Malkhas had no right not to win the gold, but it was simply given to an Iranian. Of course, Malkhas is also guilty: according to the wrestling rules, when a sportsman puts his foot outside the rug, the rival gets one point. But in this case, the referees punished Malkhas by two points. The score became 3-3 and the victory was counted for the Iranian. I don't consider this as a loss. I am sure Malkhas Amoyan will still say his word on the rug and will even exceed me,'' Roman Amoyan said, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia reports.

Malkhas Amoyan became the silver medalist of the Junior World Championships held in Tampere.
