Leader of Armenian chess Levon Aronian, who has 1.5 points, shares 4-8th places with Russian Sergey Karjakin, American Wesley So, Hikaru Nakamura and Viswanathan Anand.
Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, American Fabiano Caruana and French Maxime Vachier-Lagrave are on the lead with 2 points each.
In the first two rounds, Levon Aronian beat Russian Jan Nepomnyashchy and lost to US representative Fabiano Caruana.
In the fourth round to be held on Saturday, Levon Aornian will play with white pieces against Viswanathan Anand.
