The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have dropped five spots from the previous World Ranking and are 73rd in the new FIFA standings.

Since the previous ranking, Armenia lost to Montenegro in their 2018 World Cup qualifier, but defeated Saint Kitts and Nevis in a friendly.

The squad’s once 30th ranking was a record-breaking high for the country.

Reining world champions Germany have topped the FIFA World Ranking again, whereas Brazil and Argentina have dropped to second and third places, respectively.

Armenia will play their next 2018 World Cup qualifier on September 1, when they will be hosted by Romania.
