Maradona wants to get Russia citizenship?

Argentine football legend Diego Maradona is considering the option of becoming a Russian citizen, according to Sovetskiy Sport (Soviet Sports) of Russia.

Maradona is currently in Russia, and within the framework of the “Russia Loves Football!” campaign.
He visited capital city Moscow and Saint Petersburg and, also, attended Sunday’s final of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 in Russia.
