Martirosyan: I became a champion but I'm dissatisfied with my performance
15:50 27 June, 2017Olympic Vice Champion, European Champion Simon Martirosyan on Tuesday summed up the results of the IWF Junior World Championships held in Tokyo.
''I became a champion but I am dissatisfied with the fact that I wasn't able to lift 246 kg. I hope it will be possible to do that during the upcoming championships. The most important thing is for the managers to be satisfied. The managers always want athletes to win more medals,'' Martirosyan said.
During the IWF Junior World Championships, Armenian representative Simon Martirosyan won gold. In +105kg weight category, the Armenian weightlifter reached 426 kg, exceeding the runner-up Georgian Giorgi Chkheidze by 20kg.
