Norway Chess 2017: Levon Aronian beats former world champion candidate

After the second rest day of the Norway Chess 2017 tournament held in Stavanger city of Norway, leader of Armenian chess Levon Aronian gave no chance to former world champion candidate, Russian Sergey Karjakin.

The Armenian grandmaster reached advantage on the 41st move, becoming an absolute leader with 5 points. His rival for the first place, Hikaru Nakamura, has not yet ended the game.
This was Levon Aronian’s second consecutive win. He had drawn in the other games.
In the previous two games, Aronian beat Russian Vladimir Kramnik and World Champion Magnus Carlsen.

In the second to last round, the Armenian grandmaster will play against former champion, Indian Viswanathan Anand.
