FIFA: Armenia drop one spot

13:05   1 June, 2017

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.
Accordingly, the Armenian national squad are 68th in the new FIFA standings.

Even though they played no matches since the previous World Ranking, the team have dropped one spot.

The squad’s once 30th ranking was a record-breaking high for the country.

Brazil still top the FIFA World Ranking, Argentina continue to be in second place, and reining world champions Germany are still third.

There are no changes in the top ten, either.

Armenia will play their next 2018 World Cup qualifier on June 10, when they will be hosted by Montenegro.

On Sunday, however, they will play a friendly against Saint Kitts and Nevis, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
