Grenke Chess Classic: Levon Aronian ranks first

In the last round of Grenke Chess Classic tournament held in Germany, leader of Armenian chess Levon Aronian played draw with black pieces against American Fabiano Caruana.

In the second to last round, Levon Aronian ensured for himself the title of the winner beforehand. The Armenian grandmaster has collected 5.5 out of 7 possible points. Caruana and current world champion Magnus Carlsen, who won 4 points each, shared the second place.

Following this victory, Aronian has gone up to the 6th place in FIDE rating.
