Kazakhstan national football squad plane makes emergency landing in Yerevan airport

The airplane carrying the national football team of Kazakhstan made an emergency landing at Zvartnots International Airport, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, shortly after takeoff.

Team spokesperson Erbol Kairov informed about the aforementioned on his Twitter account.
“The plane of the Kazakhstan squad made an emergency landing in Yerevan, where it was departing from,” Kairov tweeted. “The reason was a problem with the tires.”

Armenia played their next 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday, when they played host to Kazakhstan, in Yerevan, and they defeated the guests by a score of 2-0.
