Maradona demands compensation from Al Wasl

Diego Maradona, former manager of Al Wasl club of Dubai, demands financial compensation from the former team.

“After long discussions we decided to fire Maradona. He is a very good manager and is always devoted to his work. But the ambitions of our team make us seek more skilled professional,” head of club’s board said in a statement.

In his turn Maradona is determined to receive the full amount mentioned in the contract, Ole reports.

Maradona signed a two-year contract with the club in May 2011.
