Gegard Mousasi: Donald Trump has little understanding of politics

13:35   31 January, 2017

The fight between Armenian Gegard Mousasi (Movsesyan) representing the Netherlands and American Chris Weidman may not take place.

Iranian born fighter, who moved to the Netherlands with his family at the age of 4, claims that U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order banning the entry of the citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen during 90 days may keep him from fighting.

“I have the Dutch nationality, but I also have a visa. But even with a visa you get in trouble, I heard. I’ll hear more about it this week though. The UFC lawyers are busy, and the people who arrange the visas are too. So it is not in my hands. My job is to train and get ready for the game. I think he [Donald Trump] has little understanding of politics,” Mousasi told Telesport, Fansided.com reports.

The fight is scheduled within the framework of UFC 210, which will be held on April 8 in Buffalo, New York.
