Ameria Cup: Armenian tennis players lose first round matches

YEREVAN.- Armenian tennis players made a poor showing at Ameria Cup tennis tournament held in Yerevan.

Khachatur Khachatryan left the tournament after the first round defeated by Belgium’s Arthur de Greef 6-1, 6-0. Arthur de Greef is the winner of Ucom Cup held in Armenia earlier this month.

Another Armenian player Tigran Martirosyan was defeated 6-3, 6-4 by Stanislav Vovk from Russia.

The tournament with prize money of $15,000 brought together 64 players from different countries, including Russia, Belarus, Belgium, Ukraine, Germany and the Czech Republic.
