Portuguese Primeira Liga: Ghazaryan’s goal starts win over Benfica

C.S. Marítimo on Friday defeated reining champions S.L. Benfica by a score of 2-1 in their Portuguese Primeira Liga home match.

Armenia national football squad midfielder Gevorg Ghazaryan opened the score for the home team, in the 5th minute.

Ghazaryan played in the Marítimo starting eleven for 89 minutes.
This was the Armenia international’s first goal in the current season of the top Portuguese football league.
