The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have “climbed” 38 spots and are now ranked 87th in the new FIFA standings.

After the previous World Ranking, they played one match and defeated Montenegro 3-2 in their 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The squad’s once 30th ranking, however, was a record-breaking high for the country.

Argentina still top the latest FIFA World Ranking. They are followed by Brazil and—reining world champions—Germany, respectively.

Armenia will play their next 2018 World Cup qualifier on March 26, 2017, and play host to Kazakhstan.
