Armenian athlete Gegard Mousasi (Geghard Movsisian), who represents the Netherlands, won his rematch against Jamaica’s Uriah Hall by knockout.

At the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night 99 mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament in Northern Ireland’s capital city of Belfast, this bout ended in the first round, when the referee was forced to stop the fight after a series of punches from Mousasi.

“We will not be stopped. The UFC MW [i.e. middleweight] title will be ours in 2017. This is our time!” the Armenian athlete commented on his Facebook account, after the match. “Thank you for the rematch Uriah. You are an excellent fighter and cannot wait for your next match.”

Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall had previously met in September 2015, when the Jamaican athlete had won by knockout in a tournament held in Japan.
