The head coach of the Armenian team Varuszhan Sukiasyan commented on the loss of the Armenian team to the Romanian one in the 2018 World Cup qualifier.

“I would have resigned but for the dire situation. As to [Yura] Movsisyan, we had agreed to meet but he didn’t turn up.

Of course, the rival was strong, but we proved to be unprepared to be left with ten footballers starting from the third minute. I take all the blame on myself. If the Federation requires, I will certainly resign.

Perhaps the bad atmosphere among you was the reason of injuries of our footballers.

Our players must completely recover before the match against Montenegro,” Sukiasyan noted.

Romanian squad beat Armenia 5-0 on Saturday. The Armenian team played with ten footballers starting from the third minute. On October 11 Armenia will play against Poland in the 2018 World Cup Qualifier in Warsaw.
