There also were serious injuries at the 2016 Summer Olympics that wrapped up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Daily Mail newspaper of Great Britain has presented the worst injuries at Rio 2016, and they include the dislocated elbow of Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan.

The reining European champion was in second place after the Snatch in the men’s 77 kg competition. But he crashed out of the Olympics in agony as his left elbow gave way during a second attempt in the Clean & Jerk.

Karapetyan, 20, was immediately taken to hospital.
He is already back in Armenia, and he feels better.
