2 Armenia female boxers to vie for Olympics’ qualification

YEREVAN. – The girls’ national boxing team of Armenia are preparing for the world championships that will be held from May 15 to 28 in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, and which are qualifiers for the 2016 Summer Olympics that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The team are currently on a training camp in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan. Eight female athletes are taking part in the trainings.

Anush Grigoryan (51kg), and Ashkhen Hovhannisyan (60kg) will represent Armenia in the world championships.

Four Olympic qualifications will be up for grabs in each weight category in this competition, informed the Boxing Federation of Armenia.
