Armenian national team calls assembly, Andonian and Pizzelli pick up their awards
18:05 21 March, 2016YEREVAN. - The Armenian national football squad has started preparing for the friendly against Belarus at Yerevan’s Technical Center- Football Academy. The match will be the final one for the legendary Armenian goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky.
The training of the national squad will kick off at 5:30 pm tomorrow: the first 15 minutes of the training will be open for the public. The journalists will also be able to communicate with the footballers after the training, the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) official website reports.
At the same time, the awards for the second (“Silver Ball”) and third (“Bronze ball”) Best Footballer of Armeinia-2015 title were today bestowed upon Gaël Andonian and Marcos Pizzelli respectively. The footballers weren’t able to make it to the award-giving ceremony in December 2015. Midfielder of Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan was named the best footballer of Armenia then.
Armenia vs. Belarus match will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
